Looking at the summer concert schedule for this year, I have to have...wow. It's been a long time since I can remember a summer concert schedule that was this packed with great shows. It seems that almost any night of the week this summer you can get a good if not great Live Nation show at either The Q, Blossom Music Center, House Of Blues, Jacobs Pavilion, Akron Civic Theatre and Cain Park. Acts like Red Hot Chili Peppers, B-52's, Todd Rundgren, Crosby Stills And Nash, Dave Matthews Band, Radio Head, Phish, Steve Miller Band, Bonnie Raitt, Sypro Gyra, Cheap Trick and Aerosmith are all coming and that only takes us into June! There is a lot of talent coming to the stages around Cleveland this summer.

Blue Oyster Cult/Uriah Heep 1976 Cleveland Concert Poster

In what was billed as a Heavy Metal New Years, Blue Oyster Cult headlined on December 31, 1976 at the Richfield Coliseum. Also on the bill was Uriah Heep and opening act Point Blank.

The Richfield Coliseum was an arena located in Richfield Township located roughly halfway between Cleveland and Akron Ohio. It hosted many concerts, with its first event being a concert by Frank Sinatra in 1974 and the last being a concert by Roger Daltry in 1994, which was also the last official event at the arena.

Each week we feature a new poster as the Poster Of The Week and it will be on sale for only $10.00
